Haryana Municipal Election Results 2025 Live Updates: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) romped home to victory in the Haryana local body elections on Wednesday, winning nine out of ten municipal corporations in the mayoral polls. The BJP, however, lost the Manesar seat to independent candidate Dr Inderjeet Yadav.

According to the Haryana Election Commission website, the BJP candidate Raj Rani won the Gurugram mayoral race. In Hisar, BJP’s Parveen Popli was the winner, while in Panipat, Komal Saini of the BJP won by cornering 162,075 votes. Meanwhile, the BJP candidate, Parveen Joshi, is leading in Faridabad.
Further, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) will now contain 36 wards, an increase from the previous term. Counting for the mayoral by-elections in Ambala and Sonepat Municipal Corporations is also underway. Haryana State Election Commissioner Dhanpat Singh said that the election results would be available on the State Election Commission’s official website, secharyana.gov.in.

The Bharatiya Janata Party registered a clean sweep in the Haryana local body polls, registering a landslide win in significant municipalities like Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar and Panipat. Out of the total 10 municipal corporations, BJP ended up winning the mayoral polls for nine.
BJP recorded a massive win in the mayoral polls in Haryana for nine seats — Panipat, Gurugram, Rohtak, Hisar, Karnal, Ambala, Sonipat, Faridabad, and Yamunanagar. The party, in the final rounds of vote counting, lost Manesar seat to independent candidate Dr Inderjit Yadav.
BJP’s major win was in Gurugram, a seat where Congress held extensive campaigns. BJP candidate Raj Rani ended up winning the polls against Congress by a lead of over 1.79 lakh votes, as per the State Election Commission website. Notably, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) will now have 36 wards, more in number than in the previous term.

BJP candidate Raj Rani emerged as the winner in the Gurugram Mayor elections, defeating her rival Congress candidate Seema Pahuja by a margin of 1,79,485 votes, according to the state election commission.
As the counting in Hisar reaches its final round, the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to see a very comfortable win, with its candidate Praveen Popli leading by nearly 62,000 votes. In the 13th round of vote counting, Popli has secured 87,782 votes while rival Congress candidate Krishna Singhala has secured 26,058 votes.
BJP candidate Raj Rani is inching closer to victory in Gurugram Mayor election as the gap between her and Congress rival Seema Pahuja is widening. Raj Rani, in the eighth round of vote counting, has secured 2,15,754 votes while Pahuja has secured 65,764 votes till now.

BJP candidate Raj Rani has taken a massive lead in Gurugram for the Mayor election, leading over her Congress rival Seema Pahuja by over 95,000 votes after the fifth round of counting.
Ashok Chhabra, the media coordinator in the Haryana government’s Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, said that with the lead in nine municipal corporations, the BJP is set to win in Haryana while the Congress has faced a complete defeat in the civic polls.
In Hisar, BJP candidate Praveen Popli is leading against Congress’s Krishan Singla while in Karnal, Renu Bala Gupta of BJP is leading against her rival from the Congress, Manoj Wadhwa.
In Gurgaon, Raj Rani of BJP has maintained a lead against her rival Seema Pahuja of BJP while in Rohtak, Ram Avtar Valmiki of BJP is leading against Surajmal Kiloi of Congress. In Faridabad, BJP candidate Praveen Joshi has maintained a lead against Congress’s Lata Rani.
